Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in financial processes, systems implementation, and infrastructure projects? This is your opportunity to join a key transformation initiative within a major Queensland Government division, contributing to large-scale financial management and process optimisation programs.
We are currently seeking a Business Analyst with proven experience working across finance, systems, and asset-heavy environments. In this role, you’ll act as the crucial bridge between project delivery teams and stakeholders—facilitating requirements gathering, process modelling, and business readiness across complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and optimise financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, procure-to-pay, and order-to-cash workflows.
- Engage stakeholders to gather, document and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
- Support the implementation of new financial models and systems to uplift capability across the division.
- Conduct process modelling (BPMN), develop functional/non-functional specs, and maintain traceability matrices.
- Facilitate workshops, support audit readiness, and contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Prepare reporting packs, briefing notes, and transition/change management documentation.
About You:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in finance – budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in complex environments using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong experience in asset-heavy industries (e.g., infrastructure, construction, facilities).
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills – confident working across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experienced with financial modelling, systems implementation, and process mapping using Visio or similar.
- Familiarity with BABoK and BPMN standards.
- Tools exposure to Signavio, ARIS, Pega BPM, or SAP Blueprint (highly desirable).
Why Join?
- High-impact project with a direct role in improving financial and operational efficiency.
- A chance to work on strategic infrastructure investment programs.
- Flexible work arrangements and a supportive, professional team.
- Competitive hourly rate, with flexibility for the right candidate.
