Boilermaker Welder

We are currently seeking applications from experienced Boilermakers for a casual limited tenure assignment at our defence client based in Osborne, commencing ASAP until June 2026. with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will come from a defence, heavy industrial or mining background, with extensive welding and fabrication experience, along with a positive and hard-working attitude.

Essential Requirements:
Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering - Fabrication Stream
National police clearance issued within 3 months
Construction white card
Confined Space ticket refreshed within 2 years
Minimum 5 years' heavy industrial experience in the fabrication of large complex engineering, shipbuilding and construction projects
Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting structural drawings
Sound knowledge of welding processes including MMAW/GTAW (including Plasma/LPG oxy cutting)
Strong attention to detail and focus on safe work practices and quality standards
Australian citizen
Own vehicle and current driver's license

Desirable:
Experience in fabrication/plate work and large complex structures
Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
Basic computer operating skills

Applicants will be required to submit an application for the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identification Card (NSSIC) following a successful interview. Current holders of an NSSIC will be strongly regarded.
