AS02 Payroll Officer (673)

Our client within the SA Government is seeking a Payroll Officer for a casual contract with full time hours (37.5 hours per week)  to commence  ASAP  until  29 June 2025.

Location:  Wakefield House, 30 Wakefield Street, Adelaide.

About the role and the team:

The Payroll Officer is part of the Shared Sector Team who are responsible for processing fortnightly payroll for health employees.

The Payroll Officer will:

• Be required to work effectively as an individual and a member of the team to meet deadlines, identify and deal with problems
• Be open to developing a variety of payroll skills, such as fortnightly master data entry, timesheet coding and leave application processing
• Be required to work towards daily targets and actively contribute to achieve team goals
• Be required to communicate effectively with both internal staff members and external agency employees and clients

Requirements:

• A current National Police Clearance check is mandatory
• Previous payroll, accounting or data entry experience is highly desirable
• CHRIS 21 experience is highly desirable
• Proficient numeracy skills
• A proven team player
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• A quick learner
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
