Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an experienced Procurement Officer.
Contract Length:
12 months with potential extension
Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and delivering ICT-related procurement activities critical to the division’s daily operations. You will provide expert advice, apply best procurement practices, and operate with sound judgment to support effective decision-making in a dynamic and evolving team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ICT-related procurement processes in line with Government policies and best practices
- Conduct procurement activities using SAP and apply critical thinking to meet business needs
- Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement risks while ensuring compliance with organisational obligations
- Provide high-level procurement advice across the Information Services Division
- Adapt to and support a team experiencing change and transformation
- Ensure mailbox management and stakeholder communication through Microsoft Outlook
- Demonstrated experience in Government procurement, particularly within ICT environments
- Strong understanding of procurement legislation, guidelines, and best practice principles
- Proficiency in SAP GUI for procurement processing and Microsoft Outlook for communication
- Ability to work flexibly and think critically in a changing environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
- Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting
