AO4 Program Engagement Officer
Location: Townsville, QLD
Duration: June 2025 – November 2026 (with potential 12-month extension)
Classification: Admin AO4
Rate:$58 – $63 per hour + super
Engagement Type: Long-term contract

Are you passionate about stakeholder engagement and delivering meaningful community outcomes? We’re seeking an experienced AO4 Program Engagement Officer to join a high-performing team delivering major infrastructure upgrades across North Queensland.

About the Role
This critical role will be embedded within the Customer and Stakeholder Management (CSM) team, supporting a number of Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP) initiatives.
With multiple capital works projects underway, your expertise in community engagement and strategic communications will help build public trust, manage expectations, and ensure seamless stakeholder alignment throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engagement strategies to inform and consult with impacted stakeholders
  • Maintain and update project webpages and manage Social Pinpoint platforms
  • Prepare proactive communication materials, including media releases, newsletters, flyers, and construction notifications
  • Track and resolve stakeholder issues, maintaining accurate correspondence records
  • Enter and manage data in consultation management systems to support transparent reporting

About You
You’re a skilled communicator with demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, ideally within the infrastructure or government sector. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident working independently while contributing to team objectives. Your ability to build relationships, manage complex stakeholder expectations, and deliver clear, strategic messaging will be key to your success.
