Paralegal Support Officers (6-Month Contract)

Location: Brisbane CBD
Contract: 6 months with potential extension
Rate:$49 - $55/hour + super

About the role
As a Paralegal Support Officer, you’ll provide essential legal and administrative suppot to help keep matters moving smoothly and efficiently.


Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing, filing, and serving legal documents.
• Conducting searches in court registries, tribunals, hospitals, and other organisations.
• Compiling briefs for Counsel, experts, and mediators.
• Assisting with the discovery process and managing documentation.
• Drafting routine correspondence and court forms.
• Supporting trial preparation and providing assistance during hearings.
• Liaising with clients, legal practitioners, expert witnesses, and other stakeholders.
• Handling administrative tasks including billing support, meeting coordination, and file management.

About you
We’re seeking detail-focused, adaptable individuals who thrive in busy environments and are eager to learn. Ideally, you will have:

• Prior paralegal or legal administrative experience (previous government experience is highly regard) 
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence with technology and multitasking.
• A team-oriented approach and a willingness to step in where needed.
