We are currently seeking a skilled production chef to join our client's airline catering team located near Adelaide Airport, South Australia. Your role will involve the preparation and assembly of meals for airline passengers, meeting strict quality standards and production targets in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment.
Duties will include:
• Food preparation and meal assembly to client specifications using advanced knife skills
• Meeting strict internal KPIs and production deadlines
• Stock management and food production control
• Conducting regular quality control checks
• Supervising and coordinating catering assistants
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in a cold working environment
To be successful for this opportunity you will ideally have:
• Commercial Cookery Certificate III or IV
• Excellent knife skills and comprehensive cooking knowledge
• Multi-cuisine cooking experience and knowledge highly desirable
• Recent and relevant experience in commercial kitchen or food production environments
• Proven understanding of food safety, hygiene practices and quality standards
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to pass a full medical assessment and national police clearance
• Flexibility to work variable roster including AM and PM shifts
• Comfort working in cold temperature environments
• Full working rights and immediate availability
