This agency is known for having a great culture across different teams and have excellent office locations.  A great opportunity for a Specialist Project Lead - Psychosocial to join this busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment. 

About the role:

•    Shape and lead the development of a strategy and workplan for the Agency that aims to address Governments’ responses to the Agency Review’s recommendations on psychosocial disability.
•    Apply a high-level of understanding of the mental health and disability sector requirements; and the partnership between clinical (health supports) and non-clinical (disability supports). 
•    Deliver on legislative reform through conducting analysis and advice on policy matters to inform the development of rules and legislative instruments that underpin the Agency Act to ensure they are fit for purpose for people with psychosocial disability. 
•    Providing thought leadership, content expertise and advice towards the management of key strategic issues to improve the effectiveness of the Agency for people with related to Psychosocial disability. 
•    Establish and maintain stakeholder engagement and relationship management across psychosocial disability groups and their related peak organisations, sector organisations, providers and the disability community. 
•    Responsible for the development of both short-term and long-term strategies to support Agency performance, development of Agency policy, strategic engagement and subject matter expert advice.
•    

Skills required for the position 

•    Demostrate skills in policy analysis, strategy development and research. 
•    Capability to communicate complex ideas clearly and to produce advice that is timely, accurate and persuasive. 
•    Ability to manage senior level relationships across Governments and with key external stakeholders from the disability sector. 
•    Proven ability to provide technical advice and subject matter expertise within Government. 
•    Ability to understand, interpret and influence the interaction of complex policy settings affecting the Agency for people with psychosocial disability, which include disability programs, Agency rules and practices. 
•    Skilled communicator with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder confidence and partnerships by leading and engaging using multiple approaches, including co-design 

Benefits:

•    ASAP start (pending Federal Police Clearance)
•    12-month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
•    Full time hours Monday to Friday 
•    Melbourne, Geelong, or Surry Hills Locations
•    Daily rate dependent on experience.

Qualifications and experience include: 

• Accomplished executive with proven experience in leading large –scale reform projects across disability, mental health, education, justice or social service sectors, preferably in a government, large healthcare service provider or consultancy setting. 
• Experience in leading initiatives in high pressure environments, delivering outcomes in the face of complexity and change. 
• Extensive senior stakeholder engagement and management experience
