We are currently seeking an experienced candidate for a role for our client based in Mount Waverley for a 12 month casual role to commence ASAP for the right candidate! Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour week, 9am - 5pm.

The Works Program Analyst supports the Service Delivery team through contractor performance reporting, financial controls and providing governance across the capex and opex works program. The role supports the Head of Works Program and Portfolio Control to prepare monthly financial reports, real time business intelligence reporting using Tableau and ad hoc analysis as required. Acting as a conduit between Finance, Electricity Networks and Contract Management teams, the role supports the Design and Customer Delivery Team within Service Delivery to track contractor performance, monthly invoicing and management of cash contributions for customer initiated works.

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Monitor contract performance on the Network focussing on customer initiated capital works.
  • Maintain data uploads from contractor systems including contractor invoicing.
  • Maintain Service Delivery capex and opex works program and forecasting data
  • Management reporting (financial and non-financial) for senior management, other teams, auditors and external bodies.
  • Continuously identify and implement process and management reporting improvements and provide ad-hoc business reporting.

Education / Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualified in commerce, accounting or data science is highly desirable


  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Advanced user of Microsoft suite
  • Strong analytical skills to assess strategy, tactics and plans to achieve commercial performance
  • Advanced BI reporting skills (Tableau preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility in responding to ad-hoc requests
  • Structured approach to report creation and analysis
  • Understanding of power distribution capital and maintenance programs


  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Project Management and/or contractor management is desirable
  • Experience with Tableau, dashboard design and delivery is desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to stay on task, and multitask, in a remote work environment

You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues as required whether it be a data issue or a system issue and be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve those issues.
