Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Workforce Planning, staffing and Budget Analysis/Support Officer on a contract until 30/06/2022.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This position will be required to:

  • Work with relevant corporate areas (including Finance and HR) to maintain oversight of divisional staff numbers and budget
  • Prepare briefing and other materials relating to divisional staffing and budget
  • Undertake analysis of divisional staffing requirements and preparing information on workforce planning
  • Support the team in undertaking coordination and governance functions as required

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex/technical tasks, consider options and implement appropriate plans, at times involving others, to complete tasks within tight timeframes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including an ability to synthesise and tailor diverse messages and information in plain English
  • Work independently within set parameters and take responsibility for achieving results
  • Display strong organisations skills and attention to detail
  • Undertake data analysis to prepare staffing and budget statistics
  • Build relationships across the division, with relevant corporate areas, and with other internal stakeholders
  • Skills in one or more areas of stakeholder engagement, project management, policy implementation, procurement and financial governance, contract management and administration.
