Chandler MacLeod are currently recruiting for an experienced Workforce Planning Manager for our client based in Melbourne's Western Suburbs. They are experiencing a significant uplift in volumes and as a result of this, they require a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Manager to Lead, Train & Mentor a large team of Rosterers/Workforce Planners servicing clients across the country.

Working within established team cultures, this role will be charged with taking ownership of the business's Workforce Planning function along with the ownership of producing short/medium/long term forecasts and recommendations for workforce levels. This role will also be involved in supporting the Operational Team to meet their SLAs and business objectives.

Other responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Monitoring attendance and ensuring rosters cover all communication channels.
  • Provide a high level of advice and support on all rostering/workforce planning matters.
  • Ensure labour is sourced in line with budgeted assumptions.
  • Establish key relationships and work closely with operational leadership team to ensure fill rates and staff attendance are maintained at high levels.
  • Work to identify labour reduction opportunities and risks to workforce.


In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be able to demonstrate your 'can-do' attitude along with your strong Rostering/Workforce Planning background. The following strengths and skills will also be evident within your employment history:

  • 5 years of Workforce Planning/Rostering experience managing high volume teams.
  • Solid practical knowledge of Workforce Planning principles and labour management.
  • Excellent analytical ability and strong skill with MS Suite and Roster based programs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with a high level of written and verbal communication.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail along with strong financial competency.
