Your new role
We are seeking applications from people that are passionate about improving health outcomes for North Coast communities and driving person centred care.

The Project Officer - Wellness delivers operational support to Wellness programs across the primary health care, disease prevention, chronic disease management, healthy ageing and population health portfolios.

This important role supports Project Managers and other key stakeholders to design, deliver and evaluate Wellness strategies, programs and initiatives.

You will have experience in Projects and a fundamental understanding and knowledge of Project Management, plus highly developed written communications skills.

What you will need to succeed

Experience and abilities in the following functions of the role:

  • Assisting subject matter leads to develop, implement and evaluate Wellness commissioned services, programs and initiatives. Initiatives include but are not limited to Primary Care Impact, Demand Management, the Healthy Ageing Strategy and the Immunisation Action Plan.
  • Preparing and review written documentation ensuring it is clear, succinct and tailored for the intended audience, e.g. reports, newsletter articles, briefs and project and procurement plans.
  • Undertaking desktop research, summarising information with a high degree of accuracy and confirming using a variety of sources.
  • Assisting in the organisation of region-wide meetings and forums with community members and health and social services.
  • Collating and analysing data.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders in an engaging and professional manner.
  • Assisting in the collation and analysis of reports, briefs and other organisational information.
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all information and data.
  • Working collaboratively with other Healthy North Coast Teams to undertake all activities.

Other Information

  • Full time position (38 hours per week) is available until 30 June 2021, with the possibility of extension.
  • Some afterhours work may be required, such as evening meetings with plenty of notice.
  • Base work location is negotiable - our offices are location in Tweed Heads, Ballina, Lismore, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie
  • Police Clearances
