Our Client, Idemitsu Australia, has a permanent full-time opportunity for a Stores Supervisor at their Boggabri Coal Operations mine, near Boggabri.
 
What we offer
Boggabri Coal Mine (BCO) is an open-cut coal operation producing in excess of 7 million tonnes per annum, and with a mine life extending through until 2033. BCO is located approximately 57kms from Narrabri, 60 km from Gunnedah and 23km from Boggabri NSW. The Stores Supervisor is a key member of the Procurement Team, your daily duties will include:
  • Providing leadership to the Stores Personnel including providing performance expectations and reinforcing correct behaviour through recognition, encouragement and disciplinary procedures
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement to review and implement  new methods, processes and systems
  • Managing the Operational and Capital expenditure within the approved annual budget, including budget and financial related reporting activities
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction whilst operating within the relevant guidelines
  • Maintaining compliance to the Safety Management and Environmental Management Systems, in addition to site Statutory obligations
  • Providing assistance in delivering quality inventory management services
  • Stores Management activities including analytical and auditing tasks

What we’re looking for
  • A relevant qualification or substantial relevant skills and work experience in warehousing / logistics supervision or management
  • Demonstrated experience in improving warehouse efficiencies including the implementation of continuous improvement features
  • A Current C Class driver’s licence and forklift ticket with operating experience
  • A high level of customer service with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills
  • A high level of computer literacy, preferably using a purchasing and inventory management system (e.g SAP or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and budgeting functions in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team exercising independence, judgement, and initiative
