Our client, Baiada is an iconic Australian business that is renowned for its premium chicken & poultry products. The role of Purchasing Officer will work in their on-site warehouse at their Laverton North (VIC) facility.

About the role
Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all warehouse operations and data entry through effective management of systems and processes. You will need to have a dedication to safety, an eye for detail and a love for Excel spreadsheets!

You will be responsible for:
  • Entering goods receipts and stock issues/returns
  • Maintaining high standards of work and behaviour
  • Implementing and maintaining safe work practices
  • Sundry tasks as requested by Planning & Inventory Officer

About you
We are looking for someone who can operate in a team, work independently, has the confidence to question when things don't look right, and who shows initiative in the work they are producing for various stakeholders. It would be highly advantageous for the successful candidate to have had prior experience in a similar role, an incredible work ethic and the ability to hit the ground running in this extremely busy role.

You will have:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiar with using SAGE, iLeader and BASWARE software systems (desirable)
  • Experience in packaging and controlling inventory levels in a warehouse environment
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous
