Chandler Macleod are seeking an experienced Tubular Production Scheduler for a permanent placement. This position is conveniently located in Beverley and on a Monday to Friday roster.

Duties:

  • Schedule Tubular Product
    o Interpret schedule report
    o Create Manufacturing orders (MO)
    o Print out MO's
    o Schedule MO to floor to ensure product is made in a timely manner
  • Daily Jobs
    o Place order
    o Check bills and routings for correctness
    o Release orders to the floor
    o Update CSO with delivery times
    o Updating daily production
    o Quoting inter company orders as required
  • Schedule work through welding bays
  • Liaise with Factory Manager & Team Leaders as to the daily requirements
  • Maintain Bill of Materials as required (BOM's)
  • Maintain Daily Production Figures and report
  • Maintain Monthly Scrap Figures and liaise with Accounts and scrap dealers to ensure numbers are correct
  • Inspection and registration of testing equipment
  • Daily reporting on job delivery dates
  • As a key member of the Management Team be responsible for implementing the occupational health and safety policy and management plan
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance by all employees, contractors, and visitors with regard to both the plan and policy
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the Health and Safety Plan
  • Ensuring the occupational health and safety policy and plan are included in the planning phase of any new project
  • To obey all relevant occupational health and safety instructions and to use safety devices and protective equipment correctly and in accordance with health and safety procedures
  • Any other duties that may be required to ensure the smooth operation of the department

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • To carry out their duties in a manner this does not adversely affect their own health and safety or that of others.
  • To comply with all required health and safety and injury management legislation relating to the relevant state jurisdiction
  • Cooperating with measures introduced in the interests of health and safety.
  • Report any hazards immediately to you Supervisor.
  • Report or make recommendations to their supervisors to eliminate or minimise any hazards in their working conditions or work methods
  • Undertaking any training provided in relation to health and safety.
  • Correctly using any information, training, personal protective equipment, and safety devices provided.
  • Refraining from intentionally misusing or recklessly interfering with anything that has been provided for health and safety reasons.
  • Undertaking only those tasks for which they have authorisation and/or the necessary training, and for which all necessary safety arrangements are in place

Expertise Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the type of product being produced and the application to which it will be put
  • Well-ordered sense of priority
  • Proven ability to work without direct supervision
  • Able to set and maintain high standards of quality
  • Ability to maintain support documentation and record keeping
  • Identify issues and initiate change
