Transport Planner - Sydney CBD - Government


Primary purpose of the role:

The primary objective of this role is to provide high level, high quality support services for the client for NSW's strategic multimodal transport planning to deliver improved customer and community outcomes for NSW.

Key accountabilities

  • Collate, consolidate, analyse and review supporting information for the preparation of the clients' planning outputs.
  • Prepare draft submissions as required in line with deadlines, quality standards and user expectations.
  • Develop, implement and improve efficient and comprehensive monitoring and reporting systems to address the clients' interactions with key stakeholders.
  • Identifying and reconciling inconsistent or conflicting objectives between key stakeholders and the client.
  • Responding to State requirements for investment assurance while ensuring efficiency in the reporting and management of programs.

    Key challenges
  • Building trust between the client and its major agency and industry partners.
  • Developing and managing key external stakeholder relationships and communications and negotiating agreed positions and solutions from conflicting and/or competing agendas.

Essential requirements
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
