Chandler Macleod WA is working with Parks Australia-Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment who are looking for an APS 4 Training Officer required for Uluru - this will support Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park
Roles and Responsibilities:
1.Under general direction and supervision of the Park Manager deliver, direct, manage and report on works program including:

  • The development and delivery of a training program that aligns with the Plan of Management actions and the Training Strategy,
  • Work with the Aboriginal Community Council to coordinate training activities across the park, Council and Community,
  • Budget, risk and resource management of the training function,
  • High level monitoring and reporting on management plan implementation,
  • Leading projects; and demonstrating positive change management.
    2.Share the Traditional Owner's vision for the future of the park and actively demonstrate and contribute to the park's philosophy of working together to help develop a pathway to sole management.
    3.Support the Park Manager in developing consistent reporting on training targets and employment statistics in line with the Plan of Management and Training Strategy.
    4.Manage internal training and development in collaboration with People and Workforce Development Section and consistent with the Parks overall goals through; career development support for existing staff and initiatives aimed at addressing capability gaps such as targeted recruitment or learning and development opportunities for existing staff; management of the Booderee National Park Training committee and agreed strategies.
