The primary responsibility of a Time & Attendance Assistant is to assist the Time & Attendance Officers process daily reports, maintain records and the creation of the weekly payroll file to be sent to Head Office for processing.
The Position reports to the National Payroll Manager and has a close working relationship with Site Management.
The Days of work will be Monday (including Public Holidays), Wednesday and Thursday and the hours will be 6 to 7 hours per day.
The successful applicant will be required to work up to full time hours to fill-in for the Time & Attendance Officers when they take annual leave.
Objectives of the Role:
- Assist with the processing of daily timesheets
- Assist with ensuring employees are paid precisely in accordance with their job roles, hours of work, Enterprise Agreements and Awards
- Providing advice and support to workers with regards to pay and leave enquiries
- Assist with providing relevant reports when required by management
- On-boarding of new Agency and Contractor Employees
- Performing any other task which is incidental or peripheral to carrying out the role
Skills and Experience Required: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and produce accurate data
- Ability to maintain a high level of privacy and confidentiality in relation to employees personal information and payroll information
- Excellent computer skills
- Accurate data entry skills
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- High level administration experience
- Time & Attendance or Payroll experience would be preferred, however not essential
