    We are looking for a Tax Contractor to provide financial assistance and support.

    We are looking for an experienced Tax/Finance Contractor to provide service excellence for large energy company.
    This is an opportunity for someone who is technically strong to join a high performing, inclusive, collaborative and highly regarded team.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Prepare the exit Div 711 calculations and ACA calculations for two projects
    2. Prepare income tax position papers on our rehab activities and closure costs
    3. Prepare documentation including an income tax position paper on ATO PCG 2021/D1 - imported hybrid rules (paragraph
    4. Prepare Transfer pricing documentation on certain internal projects and cost recharges (total amounts <$5m)
    5. Prepare a position paper on a debt/equity instrument. This is not a complex tax analysis because it is a very simple instrument
    6. Other ad hoc tax advisory including review of Sale Purchase Agreements and other advisory projects

    To be successful for this role:
  • You'll have a Technical proficiency and experience in writing technical papers and technical calculations.
  • You'll have a strong interest in developing skills and knowledge specifically in relation to the retail energy.
  • A natural people person who enjoys engaging, problem-solving, building strong relationships.
  • Have excellent team leadership and communications skills with demonstrated experience in building and managing high performance teams.
  • Big 4 or large corporates are welcomed if experienced in the technical proficiency in income tax in relation to writing position papers and basic transfer pricing documentation and analysis.
  • Capability to quickly understand and integrate business objectives with tax strategies
  • Competence to clearly and effectively communicate tax requirements to leaders in functional groups throughout the company
