Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Talent and Procurement Advisor on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

About the Role:

The request seeks to engage experienced sellers who have capability to:

  • Support the Talent Strategy and Workforce Management Manager in strategic workforce planning and talent engagement.
  • Draft and provide quality assurance on procedural, governance, and procurement documentation (with minimal direction).
  • Work closely with Recruitment and Procurement colleagues to ensure streamlined and efficient management of talent engagement activities.
  • Contribute to the development of process flows and process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop job descriptions and provide support for Division recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate procurement related meetings and workshops, including but not limited to industry briefings and evaluation sessions.
  • Coordinate and administer procurement related correspondence.
  • Develop and administer procurement and contract management risk assessments.
  • Provide advice and guidance on procurement and contract management to internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate using professional judgement, evaluating risks in the context of a complex and changing environment.
  • Develop and administer contract management plans.
  • General contract management responsibilities; and
  • Additional duties as directed by the Manager, Talent Strategy and Workforce Management.

Security Requirements

Applicants will be required to obtain a Police Check and have a minimum Baseline AGSVA Clearance

Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • Comprehensive experience with and understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and all relevant additional procurement related policies and legislation;
  • Proven ability to act with discretion and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information;
  • Customer service focused approach to liaising with relevant stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time;
  • Demonstrated experience conducting complex end-to-end procurement approaches;
  • Demonstrated experience drafting complex procurement documentation including but not limited to: RFT documentation- head documents, statements of requirement and complex response schedules;
  • Draft commercial arrangements;
  • Demonstrated experience successfully administered contracts;
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully managing risk, including the development of comprehensive risk assessments;
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering positive results with time restraints and competing priorities;
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and navigate complex stakeholder relationships; and
  • Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.


  • Relevant qualifications and / or industry certification. For example, Diploma of Government and/or Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or equivalent.
