An exciting opportunity has become available to join an established Talent team, we are seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager who has a strong focus and interest in the Recruitment and talent acquisition especially within the areas of Inclusion (D&I), Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and candid experience.
This is a permanent opporunity, full time hours with flexible working arrangements on offer.
Purpose of the position
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Talent Acquisition Strategy. This will include the assessment and implementation of new solutions to enhance talent acquisition outcomes including Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), Employee Value Proposition (EVP) communication and the candidate experience.
The role will contribute to workforce and succession planning as well as managing VicTrack’s recruitment
and capability programs.
Key accountabilities/functions
• Bachelor level qualifications in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology or another applicable field is preferred
• Professional membership with the Australian Human Resources Institute (desirable)
Knowledge & Experience
• Extensive experience designing and implementing talent acquisition functions
• Demonstrated results relating to cost savings through inhouse recruitment and the negotiation of vendor panel fees
• Experience in projects leading Talent, Capability and Diversity initiatives
• Experience in designing and delivering an Employee Value Proposition to successfully build an employer brand
• Experience in establishing and setting KPI’s for the team
Skills
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills
• Highly developed skills in building effective working relationships with a range of senior executives, managers and employees in the private and public sector
• Ability to grow the team’s capability through coaching and mentoring

Key accountabilities/functions
- Build and develop an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to drive higher engagement and motivation. The EVP can be leveraged to help build an inclusive work environment needed to attract, retain and foster diverse talent.
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent, encourage internal career mobility and maximise employee engagement.
- Development of identified workforce plans to support the strategic and proactive recruitment and talent sourcing approach across the business.
- Support the organisation in setting appropriate metrics aligned to strategy and set the talent acquisition framework and governance arrangements to drive the delivery of the strategies. This includes gender targets, pay equity commitments, and other diversity metrics that enable the strategy.
- Build on existing processes to design and deliver an experience-led strategy for the recruitment and career development of employees from under-represented groups across Australia to support the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with employment agencies, suppliers of talent, relevant organisations (e.g. advocacy groups and associations) and communities.
- Manage the performance of the Recruitment team to deliver a fair and merit-based process which is responsive and consistent to business expectations and budget.
- Regularly report organisational and business unit Time to Hire and Service levels for recruitment
- Continuously improve the talent acquisition process to yield greater efficiency and financial savings.
- Drive and support strategic leadership development initiatives in collaboration with the Executive General Manager, People & Culture.
