We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator expert. As a key member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to put your skills to the test, helping to design, implement, and maintain complex server infrastructures across multiple departments and offices with a view to a cloud migration in the near future.
Why the team needs you
From troubleshooting critical system issues to automating routine tasks, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our IT infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and effective.
You will be accountable for the delivery of specialist ICT consultancy services, including the provision of expert technical advice and support and assistance on issues relating to the delivery and maintenance of Council’s ICT infrastructure.
You will take the lead in providing holistic technical advice on the establishment and maintenance of a robust and scalable ICT architecture and provide detailed technical support for delivering new ICT infrastructure requirements for PMHC.

On a typical day, this role will
- Administration, monitoring and management of Council’s Microsoft environment including MS O365 as well as Azure and Server platforms
- Maintenance of infrastructure
- Monitoring and rectifying issues remotely and on site
- Provide an escalation point for complex user hardware/software issues following initial diagnosis by other team members.
- Contribute to the design, planning and execution of major ICT projects to ensure smooth execution and deployment
What you’ll bring to the team.
The successful applicant will have effective analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to think creatively, act strategically and manage change. You will possess a bachelor’s degree or other certification in Computer Science, Information Technology or System Administration as well as:
- Strong working experience with Windows Client; Network administration; Windows Server; Microsoft Office 365; Data management (on premise and cloud environments); MS Azure, MFA,
- High level knowledge and experience with on-premises Microsoft Server 2012 - 2019, Exchange Online (Hybrid).
- Experience in support and maintenance of backup and replication software.
- Proven experience in virtual desktop infrastructure (preferable vmware horizon)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in business terminology
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

- Full Time, 35 hours per week
- Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $84,633.00 to $95,249
