About the Organisation:
Chandler Macleod is proud to partner with a statutory body of the Victorian State Government that are currently undergoing an exciting change to their current HR and Finance system. Based in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, they are looking to engage a skilled and positive Systems Accountant on a fixed-term contract of 2 years.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and be accountable for best practice and continuous system improvements
  • Developing ETL's and reporting to optimise financial systems
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining internal system controls that are preventative and detective to provide quality assurance of financial data
  • Evolve finance systems and associated interfaces through better processes, automation, simplification, and more effective ways of working for the business
  • Training and supporting the team and broader business in the use of the financial systems and procedures
Key skills/Personal attributes:
  • Prior experience in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Significant expertise with Technology One, SAP or Oracle required
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel to Macro level
  • Positive mindset and attitude, working collegiately across teams and divisions
  • Keen problem solver who is an active and impactful contributor of ideas, insights, strategic and operational decision making
  • Ability to prioritise workload to provide outcomes in a timely manner within tight-project deadlines
  • Ability to coach and develop teams to build capabilities and optimise their effectiveness
