Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Streamlined Sourcing Officers on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

About the Role:

Streamlined Sourcing sits within the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch, supporting to build and maintain an agile Labour Hire workforce.

The Streamlined Sourcing Officer will be responsible for workforce sourcing, which includes procurement, on-boarding and financial management of external resources (Labour Hire Workers). You will have well-developed communication skills, including the ability to communicate in a confidential and sensitive manner.

Using your judgement, you will need to have the ability to handle time-critical tasks and be required to develop and maintain relationships with managers to direct their requests for resources to the appropriate service provider.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • ensure that Labour Hire Workers are engaged through agreed procurement channels and tracked throughout the Streamlined Sourcing process
  • development of procurement documentation
  • collate candidate packages for assessment by the requesting business area
  • raise contracts and purchase orders
  • maintain a shared database
  • respond to enquiries as an SME
  • review all documentation received for accuracy and completeness
  • manage the timely on-boarding of successful candidates
  • maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders
  • maintain internal relationships, as well as with external stakeholders
  • other duties and projects as requested.

Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • Contemporary attitude to disability

    • Understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals.
  • Systems
    • Ability to analyse and produce a range of statistics and reports using MS Excel.
    • Intermediate level skills with MS Excel and/or Access.
  • Communication
    • Communicate clearly with managers and senior managers.
    • Provide subject matter expertise on recruitment and on-boarding functions of external staff.
    • Able to negotiate with external providers.
  • Collaboration
    • Ability to assist with process transformation updates and adapt quickly in a changing environment.
    • Experience with writing Quick Reference Guides or externally facing process guides.
  • Service Orientation
    • Commitment to action activities within service level agreement.
    • Ability to respond to and prioritise competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
  • Desirable
    • Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems.
    • Understanding of procurement processes.
    • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding or lived experience of disability.
  • Required
    • Intermediate understanding of the MS Office Suite.
    • Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
    • Ability to remain composed in a changing, faced-paced environment.
