Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Strategic Communication Advisor on a contract for 4 Months.

Position Overview

Our client will host their Industry Skilling and Workforce Summit (Summit) in a virtual format in March/April 2021.

The key objective of the Summit will be to provide a coordinated discussion with stakeholders across the industry sector, including those already working in industry, to identify how gaps in the industry skilled workforce can be filled and to further explore solutions to issues raised at the inaugural summit. A key element will be how to engage young people to study the right subjects at school and work and ultimately find employment in the technology-rich sector.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • drafting an engaging and productive agenda;
  • identifying and engaging a range of presenters;
  • engaging a facilitator / MC to lead the Summit;
  • managing all elements of stakeholder invitations, registrations and communications;
  • providing or sourcing a virtual platform for the Summit;
  • providing all IT development and support for the Summit;
  • developing and disseminating briefing materials, including pre-briefing materials / discussion papers which will allow attendees to give consideration to themes prior to the event;
  • the ability for participants to submit real-time evaluation and comments during the sessions;
  • undertaking post-Summit stakeholder evaluations; and
  • submitting a post-Summit report.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline clearance.
  • a proven ability in the planning and delivery of similar virtual events;
  • the ability to address the scope of tasks and all deliverables to a high standard;
  • the inclusion of innovative ideas and concepts that might increase the stakeholder value and reception of the Summit;
  • suggestions on suitable speakers and additional relevant topics; and
  • value for Commonwealth money.
