Our client AGL Energy are on the lookout for an experienced Store Person to join them on a contract basis. The Store Person works as an integral member of the SBES and is required to perform goods receiving, dispatch and customer support duties in providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders of the company.

Key accountabilities of this role

  • Picking and packing orders / transfers
  • Loading and unloading orders / transfers on transport
  • Maintaining the computerized inventory management system
  • Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
  • Organising and Managing stock in the warehouse
  • Following Stock Management Processes and Procedures
  • Cycle Counting/Reconciliation
  • Comply with OH&S requirements and be safety conscious
  • Keeping warehouse area clean and tidy
  • Developing warehouse process to improve efficiencies
  • Filing of associated paperwork
  • Liaise and develop relationships with customers
  • Driving of delivery vehicles and associate plant equipment
  • Complete associated paperwork with deliveries
  • Ensure the Workplace is always presentable to customers
  • Help develop workable business systems and processes
  • Any other duties as directed by your Manager/Supervisor

Qualifications, key skills and experience required

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Previous experience in a warehouse/Store Person role
  • Physically fit -some heavy lifting involved
  • Driver's License (HC preferred)
  • Fork-lift License required
  • Willingness to "take ownership" of warehouse operations and work autonomously
  • Reliable and honest with strong work ethic
  • Clean and tidy presentation
  • Ability to work extra hours as required
  • Basic computer skills i.e. data entry, software navigation
  • Good literacy skills (reading and writing)
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Tertiary qualification in Warehousing - Certificate III or IV in Warehousing, Logistics, Inventory Management, OH&S or equivalent.
