Store Person - Alcoa

We are currently seeking an experienced Store Person for a 3-month role with Alcoa Pinjarra.

Alcoa's Australian operations represent the world's largest integrated bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and rolling system. Also operating the country's largest aluminium recycling plant, Alcoa adds value to Australia's local, state and national economies at every stage. Alcoa currently operates two bauxite mines within its Western Australian Mineral Lease. The Huntly mine, established in the early 1970s is located near Dwellingup and is the world's largest bauxite mine, supplying bauxite ore to the Pinjarra and Kwinana Refineries. The Willowdale mine is located east of Waroona and supplies bauxite ore to the Wagerup Refinery.

    Daily Duties Include
  • Operating a Forklift - experience is a must
  • Ensure compliance with Logistics Policy and Procedures including quality assurance needs
  • Organise and process the day to day activities and transactions, material pick and meet the maintenance scheduled work order targets
  • Storing and controlling stock
  • Repackaging, packing and unpacking of goods
  • Delivery of goods on site
  • General warehouse duties - as required from time to time in line with Logistics team activities to ensure site services are supported including, Rotables, Tools management and Housekeeping of Warehouse/Stores facilities

    The successful applicant will have
  • Current LF Licence with a minimum 12 months' experience on a Forklift
  • Ability to complete a Medical and Drug & Alcohol testing
  • Experience working in a warehouse and or yard environment - mine site experience advantageous
  • The physical ability to load and unload, pick and pack items
  • An enthusiastic approach to their work, with a keen eye for safety
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and take direction
  • Basic numeracy skills and computer literacy
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work independently, with limited supervision; and the desire to work within a team
