The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity within a well-established NSW State Government Department. As the Stakeholder Engagement Officer you will assist with the coordination of stakeholder engagement programs underway to business reforms and the operations of the department.

Working across a number of project stakeholder engagement teams the role will assist in providing coordination to ensure that stakeholders have access to consistent, accurate, relevant and timely information.

The role will assist in the development and implementation of the tools, protocols and systems to support this coordinated approach. It will have assist in management of key stakeholder relationships and will provide analytical and strategic advice and support to the Senior Stakeholder Engagement Officer on emerging stakeholder issues.

Job specification

  • Support the Senior Engagement Officer in the coordination of engagement activities with point to point sector stakeholders including the development of protocols and tools for a coordinated approach to key stakeholders across projects.
  • Facilitate internal forums to promote pragmatic, real time coordination of activities.
  • Assist in the establishment of systems to track and report on key stakeholder engagement activities across all significant point to point sector projects to inform and support decision making and planning.
  • Use systems to provide insights into key stakeholder relationships and issues and take the lead role, where appropriate, in the management of a stakeholder's engagement with the Commission to support the Senior Engagement Officer in managing key relationships.
  • Work across projects on behalf of stakeholders to resolve significant issues.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Senior Engagement Officer and other team members to support the effective management of emerging stakeholder issues and concerns

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a similar role.
  • The right candidate will have a compliance and governance mindset, be a self-starter, critical thinker and have solid writing and communication skills.
  • Government experience is desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will be required to provide x2 reference checks and a police clearance prior to engaging a contract within this department.
