About the role
We are partnering one of Australia's leading resources companies, to secure the services of an experienced Specialist Planner/Scheduler -Shutdowns to be deployed on one of their larger ($200M) asset projects to increase throughput capacity at the Port Hedland operations (civils, SMPEI, machines.

The key requirement of the role is to provide specialist advice and executes tasks in the development and monitoring of plans and schedule baselines, activity completion, identification of trends and corrective/preventative actions to influence on-time delivery of the project's objectives.

This assignment will cover a period of up to 2 years, on a Monday to Friday roster based in the Perth CBD with occasional site visits.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

  • Experience in an owner's team preferred, with the ability to challenge contractor schedules and manage multiple packages concurrently
  • 7 years+ experience in planning & scheduling for medium-large sized projects (US$100m-$250m+)
  • Must be able to negotiate effectively with contractor schedules and challenge them
  • Strong communication skills are an essential part of this
  • Experience in the delivery phase of a project
  • Need to be able to work cooperatively with a small team of planners, taking direction from the Principal Planner
  • Shutdown experience preferred
  • P6 experience essential
  • Strong understanding of EVM
  • Stability in employment history
  • Provision of a current Drivers License and Australian working rights
