We are currently recruiting for a Social Work Team Leader for our client, a Community Housing provider based in Sydney. This is a full time permanent role at level 6 on the SCHADS award with a salary of $92k + super + salary packaging.


The position is responsible for managing a small team of Specialist Support Workers who manage a caseload of clients with complex needs to co-ordinate and facilitate support to maximise housing, wellbeing and lifestyle opportunities. This is a hands on operational role which involves managing a small caseload and also has strategic responsibility for service improvement and partner development.


Responsibilities

  • Work with the Specialist Support Workers to develop suitable eligibility criteria for specialist support tenants / referrals.
  • Work with clients to develop positive links with support providers to achieve solutions to specific tenancy/ housing/ homelessness issues.
  • Develop a tailored support plan for each allocated tenant and household member referred to the specialist support team.
  • Effectively lead and manage the Specialist Support team.


Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work (Essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team (Essential)
  • NSW Driver's licence (Essential)
  • Previous experience in Community Housing or Homelessness would be highly regarded
  • Membership of the AASW
