Position title: Snr Project Engineer or Project Manager (Mechanical) - Steel Manufacturing
Contract Estimation Duration: 6-12 month contract (with possibilities of extension(s)) or permanency.
Company Type / Size: Tier 1 - Commercial - Manufacturing
Location: Western Sydney - NSW
Salary / Rate: TBC
Purpose of this position:
 To assist in planning and co-ordinating the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of assigned projects, including the preparation of proposals.
 To assist in obtaining clear agreement of client objectives.
 To assist in developing the project cost estimate.
 To assist in developing the project schedule.
To follow HSE principles, practices, policies and procedures.
We require a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager (Mechanical) to:
1. Save the Billet Marking Project.
2. Continue the FEL on CR7 and manage that project.

General Requirements:
 Project Engineer to start on-site in our client's Western Sydney based manufacturing plant.
 This position will work under the direction of one of our Senior Project Managers, so is a good opportunity for a candidate to build their project management skills.
 Ideal experience level would be 2 to 5 years as an engineer in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, with some exposure to project management principles and practices.
 The position is for a multi-disciplined Project Engineer so would suit a person who sees themselves as a project manager with a mechanical or electrical engineering background, or a mechanical or electrical engineer who has some project management experience.
 Experience in conducting project work within a manufacturing environment and experience in the installation of plant are key to this role.
 It would be beneficial if the candidate has some experience in the supervision of site installation work, including the preparation of work safety documentation.
Education:
 Degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3+yrs practical and relevant experience
 Site experience in heavy industry desirable
