Our client, one of Australia's leading resources companies, is seeking to engage 3 x experienced SME's - Business Process Improvement for a 12-month contract, based at their Perth CBD headquarters, specialising in the following fields:

1. Underground
2. Fixed Plant Mechanical
3. Surface Mobile Equipment

Reporting to the Central Training & Standards Superintendent, these roles will be to ensure adherence to the relevant statutory regulations implementing the Asset operations to ensure their "operating licence" requirements are effectively controlled through delivery of quality instructions and training. This role will incorporate the development of all manner of technical and training documentation | procedures related to the operations, technical and statutory requirements relevant to function | location including standards and activities.

The core accountabilities of this role will include:

  • Documenting and facilitating the development of Work Instructions and Operating |Training & Procedures etc
  • Planning, supervising and quality control for external technical writers on a as needs basis as a part of documentation uplift and maintenance
  • Establishing content quality processes
  • Developing and maintaining a schedule of document deliverables
  • Leading the process of continuous improvement in the management of the Instruction documentation.
  • Participate in daily, weekly and monthly team meetings
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the group and the wider mining operations
  • Collaborating with developers and managers to clarify technical issues
  • Working with Australian, BHP policies and standards
  • Working on and managing multiple projects simultaneously


Requirements:

  • Mining Engineering Degree | formal qualifications
  • As a Senior Leadership role in Operations, require knowledge and exposure to Statutory Regulatory Compliance is highly desired
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience of subject matter expertise in underground mining | Fixed Plant Mechanical | Surface Mobile Equipment is mandatory.
