Based in a site office at BHP's Mount Arthur Coal and reporting to the Chandler Macleod - Manager Hunter Valley Mining, our Staffing Services business currently has a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Site Supervisor to join our busy and successful on site team.

The Site Supervisor will work closely with the other Chandler Macleod stakeholders on site including our Injury and Safety Managers and will also interact with, communicate and engage significantly with our employees at site, assisting in the provision of accurate rostering, over time, payroll, leave provisions and outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all of our employees.

You will also engage with our extended Singleton based off site team as they support the site office through the recruitment and induction of our Mount Arthur Coal employees. This role is based on a 5/4, 13 hour, day shift only roster. Successful applicants must be able to work weekends.

In order to be successful in this role you must:

  • Have some experience in and understanding of the mining sector
  • Be able to provide excellent customer service to all levels of an organisation.
  • Have a high level of administration skills including excel and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Have a desire to contribute to a culture of long-term partnerships - not just transactions.
  • Live within 60 minutes of Mount Arthur Coal.

    Ideally you will also have:
  • Experience in managing or supporting a large workforce
  • An understanding of contracts and awards
