About the role
We are partnering one of Australia's leading resources companies, is seeking to engage Mechanical Site Engineers to oversee various Non-Process Infrastructure projects in the WA Pilbara. Reporting to the Lead Project Engineers the successful candidates will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of projects, typically 4-5 projects at various stages.


List of general responsibilities include:

  • Management of contractors on site to schedule, scope and progress
  • Ensuring construction as per design and scope
  • Overseeing site works on behalf of Project Engineer including conducting daily coordination / interface meetings with the relevant stakeholders
  • Undertaking all QA/QC inspections for the construction works
  • Manage site TQs and liaise with Project Engineer and GTS Engineering team
  • Assist PE and contractor to complete pre-mobilisation requirements
  • General project administration

To be successful in this role, you will require the following work experience:

  • A tertiary/degree Mechanical Engineering qualification (preferred)
  • Substantial experience across all aspects of the Project Management lifecycle
  • Previous experience with piping / plumbing construction projects essential
  • Previous leadership experience desirable
  • Previous experience working on NPI projects desirable
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, these will be key components of this role as you will work closely with a variety of stakeholders
  • A proven track record of safety management
  • Demonstrated high-level negotiation and influencing skills to liaise and negotiate within internal and external departments and contractors
  • Provision of a current Drivers License and Australian working rights
