Chandler Macleod is currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for an exciting opportunity with our client who is specialised in the delivery of engineering and planning of major construction projects spanning across a range of industries including water facilities, commercial infrastructure, urban development, transport, civil and structural engineering.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for direct and oversee the on site flow of work, materials and equipment and coordinate and direct the on site activities of civil engineering projects.
This role is based in northern Victoria in Sea Lake

Responsibilities
  •  Thorough understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering techniques relating to civil infrastructure works, including setting out and supervision of construction
  • Support to manage the project in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Assisting with cost tracking & financial reporting
  • Build relationships with sub-contractors
  • Planning and coordinating on site construction activities
  • Ensuring OH&S procedures are implemented including taking corrective action to meet legislative requirements of the construction site
  • Supervision of works and managing specialist sub-contractors
  • Completing Quality Assurance documents such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) etc.
  • Working with supervisors to ensure safety compliance and the creation of a safe working environment
  • Maintain daily site records
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a business / project management role at similar level in the construction industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering, construction, building, or related field
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering, technology, building, construction, and design
  • Proficient in the use of computer aided design (CAD) software
  • Proven track record for managing personnel and material resources
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and complex problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management and project management skills
  • Active listening and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to learning new concepts and strategies
