Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a ServiceNow Developer on a contract for 12 Months, with potential extensions of 36 months.

Position Overview

Our Client is seeking to engage three ServiceNow Developers with a high level of expertise. These resources will be working in a multi-disciplinary Agile Team across multiple projects incorporating Service Now. The ServiceNow Developers will work on implementation of the ServiceNow platform and assist in providing ServiceNow solutions. They will need to leverage experience and knowledge to deliver end-to-end solutions, including:

  • Technical: implementation of processes, workflow customisations, ticketing, process automation, report development, dashboard creation.
  • System configurations: design and deliver technical solutions based on the ServiceNow platform and assist clients with proof of concepts, design work sessions and stakeholder engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scope and refine backlog
  • ServiceNow configuration and administration
  • Identification of issues and develop solutions to resolve them
  • Escalation of issues and risks within team structure.
  • Coordination to testing & training documentation
  • Process documentation
  • Respond to reported problems, performing fault diagnosis, analysis and rectification tasks;
  • Provide or assist in the analysis of enhancements as requested by the business areas;
  • Support, design, configure, test and implement Service Now functions and methods;
  • Assist in the development and documentation of technical design standards and work within these standards;
  • Develop or assist in the development of test plans and user documentation;
  • Mentor and perform skills transfer to other team members and participate in code reviews;
  • Record and maintain files/information in accordance with requirements
  • Be able to work in an Agile team environment and with a variety of stakeholders

Mandatory Requirements

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in implementation of ServiceNow functionality. Strong development skills to deliver products that achieve a high customer experience (easy self-service and intuitive navigation)
  • Proven ability in development of solutions
  • Ability to help resolve complex technical issues
  • Experience in performing break/fix analysis and recommending solutions
  • Good team player, with ability to multitask and work within an Agile framework.
  • NV1 Clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Strong knowledge of, and experience in ServiceNow in a Commonwealth Government context.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing ServiceNow modules: HR,CSM and ITSM Demonstrated experience in producing detailed design documents.
  • Understanding of environment management.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry certifications.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to consult with a diverse range of stakeholders and discuss business requirements. Experience in mentoring and knowledge transfer.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer &/or Implementation Specialist
