We are seeking a Service Leader to take the cultural services team into the future including their transition into the new Cultural and Civic Space in the heart of the Coffs Harbour city centre, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2022. The exciting new building will include a central library over three floors with dedicated spaces for Children and Youth, Regional Gallery, Museum, Interactive Arts workshop, Makerspace and Digital Creative Studio.

Reporting to the Team Leader Cultural Services, the Service Leader - Libraries is a key leadership position, this role will provide the opportunity to make a real difference in the community which you live.

This position coordinates library services, including library collections and outreach services to provide lifelong learning opportunities for Coffs Harbour Local Government Area residents and visitors through its library network and online channels. You will lead the Libraries Team in providing comprehensive, innovative library services, resources and initiatives.

About You

You will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as experience in developing and managing library collections and providing client-focused services. You will have the ability to critically assess situations, resolve problems and balance competing priorities as well as have experience in leading change within a complex environment.

You will have a Degree or post-graduate qualification in Library and Information Services as well as experience in managing library services.
