Chandler Macleod are excited to be partnering exclusively with our consulting and manufacturing client who specialise in the Design, Engineering, Project Management and Manufacture of fibre-composite solutions for the construction industry and have a range of exciting projects nationally and internationally in the pipeline.

A great opportunity for a hands on Senior Structural Engineer where you will lead the Engineering team and work closely with the in-house designers and drafters in the Brisbane office. You will be expected to be involved and take ownership in every stage of the projects and contribute to continual research to further develop work for the business.

To be considered for the role you will have the following skills and qualifications;

  • RPEQ and CPEng
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Structural)
  • Advanced skills in Finite Element Analysis (1D, 2D, 3D elements), 3D CAD (using Rhino or Inventor)
  • Experience with Altair hyperworks or Strand 7 preferable
  • In depth knowledge with the design and engineering of either GRC or FRP materials
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Prior experience leading a team and mentoring junior engineers
  • Very strong communication and report writing skills
