Our client, a Queensland statutory body, is looking to recruit a Senior Strategy and Innovation Officer to join the business based in Fortitude Valley.

The ultimate responsibility of this role will be to provide strategic analytical insights and contribute to the timely delivery of the annual strategic planning cycle and business activities.

Tasks will include:

  • Providing strategic analytical insights relating to portfolio-wide business activities
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, maintenance and performance of systems relating to strategic business planning and performance reporting
  • Reviewing practices, procedures and business performance with a view to identifying and recommending best practice approaches and continuous improvement
  • Preparing a range or complex and diverse documents including briefing notes, reports, presentations and employee capability development material
  • Co-designing creative stakeholder engagement strategies and products

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Demonstrated background in gathering, synthesising and analysing data from various sources
  • Experience working on business activities or projects that must comply with standards, whole-of-government or agreed business requirements
  • Experience in the active monitoring, evaluation and reporting of organisational initiatives or programs
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business management or business administration highly desirable

This role is offered on a contract basis for an initial period of up to 3 months and is looking to commence mid-February.
