Position Overview

The Social Account Executive in Client Acquisition team is responsible for pursuing new logo prospects and selling client's social solutions. We are looking for self-starting closers who can source a strong pipeline of business and collaborate on upselling and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients. It is critical that you demonstrate a thorough understanding of client's value propositions and take ownership of all stages of the sales process from start to finish.

Our client's full stack social platform cuts across social listening, publishing, engagement, and analytics. Beyond just social listening, they enable marketers to drive conversions across the marketing funnel through community management tools, audience insight & affinity analysis, influencer discovery & management, and even single view visualization of Earned, Owned and Paid media.

You will be spearheading business growth towards the social space and advocating the value of social insights and analytics tools to existing 3000 PR clients. This is a chance to curate an unrestricted flow of clients and show the value of client's expansive social product suite, to provide clients with a holistic service across social, marketing, PR solutions and more.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales pipeline through sequential stages of the sales process: Pipeline creation, initial outreach, product demos, negotiation and closing new deals, and upselling / cross selling to existing clients
  • Take a consultative sales approach with C-Level Executives while navigating multiple decision makers
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to clients and determine their needs, create value, build engagement, and interest in client's solutions
  • Conduct sales activities such as nurturing inbound and outbound leads, client calls, demos, email marketing, social selling, presenting / pitching to top tier Fortune 500 clients, etc.
  • Monitor your sales activity on a regular basis, and strive to meet / exceed your quarterly sales targets
  • Educate and guide prospects through the buyer's journey to help them understand how client can drive their business goals and objectives through our product suite
  • Keep informed of product developments, competition and industry trends that may impact client acquisition and growth
  • Work strategically with Management on sales forecasts, opportunity identification, resolving challenges and providing recommendations
  • Specialize in knowledge in the Social Media, Communications & Digital Marketing industry

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Currently based in or willing to relocate to Sydney / Melbourne
  • Hold full, unrestricted working rights in Australia (working holiday visa is not accepted)
  • Attained Bachelor's degree (in any specialization)
  • 3 - 8 years of experience in B2B Sales roles, ideally in the SaaS and media / digital / social / comms industry
  • Experience selling to Australia market is a must
  • Passionate about social media and the transformative effect it can have on businesses, their brands and the way they drive revenue
  • Track record of consistently overachieving against sales targets
  • Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and target driven - you have drive, stamina and a killer instinct in sales
  • Exceptional consultative sales skills and prior experience conducting product demos
  • Interested in and have knowledge of the media intelligence / digital marketing / social media / MarTech / MarComms industry
  • Strong business acumen and a regular consumer of the news & social media
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you are clear, concise & convincing, and comfortable negotiating with C-Suite decision makers
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment
