Senior Research Officer - Evidence and Knowledge Translation

In this role you will support the Evidence for Action Team to design projects that address knowledge gaps using your Knowledge Translation skills. This is a team leader role in which you will guide and support your team to ensure a strong level of comprehension and knowledge is applied to decision making processes throughout the Organisation.

What your duties will include:
In this team leader role you will provide support for research translation and evidence based resources to support the Organisation's ability to support its participants. You will support your team in:

  • Preparation of knowledge translation plans
  • Preparation of participant decision guides
  • Literature reviews
  • Support capability building activities (e.g. training, resource development)
  • Preparation of reports, multimedia (video editing, powerpoint presentations, infographs)
  • Development and maintenance of spreadsheets and databases
  • Correspondence with internal and external stakeholders
  • Organising meetings, preparing agendas and documenting minutes
  • Management of quality assurance activities

What you will bring to the role

  • Relevant degree from a recognised university and appropriate port-graduate qualifications or equivalent research experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of knowledge translation frameworks and strategies
  • Experience creating knowledge translation products for a range of audiences
  • Experience in writing reports for a range of audiences including consumers, executive reports etc
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to set priorities, manage time, plan work to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Demonstrated awareness of the principles of confidentiality, privacy and information handling
  • Experience undertaking literature reviews using online research databases and high-level skills in use of reference management software (Endnote)
  • Experience developing practice guidelines
  • Understanding implementation science frameworks
  • Understanding of barriers and facilitators of practice/behaviour change
  • Experience in project management
  • Familiarity with a range of research methods
