Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Project Support Officer on a contract for 10 months with potential extension.

About the Role

The APS6 Senior Project Officer (Labour Hire) is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

  • Well-developed skills in communication, analysis and problem solving.
  • Contract management and/or program management experience.

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to assisting and supporting:

  • AT procurement activities.
  • Stakeholder engagement (internal & external) to develop policy and processes for quality and value for money participant AT sourcing options.
  • Liaising with different market elements and supply/provision enablers to make available workable AT market solutions (including facilitating workshops, focus groups etc.)
  • Supporting the continued development of the AT Market Strategy for a range of participant cohorts and AT submarkets.
  • Developing and coordinating the monitoring and evaluation of trials, staged implementation and ongoing market delivery approaches for participant AT.
  • Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
  • Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
  • Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
  • Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
  • Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
  • Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
