Our client is a Northern Territory Government owned utility who generates, transmits and distributes electricity and provides water supplies and waste water projects across the region, supplying residents and remote communities and outstations. Currently they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Water Services team in Darwin and manage key projects from design to handover.

This is an exciting, highly visible role within the company that will see you developing works and projects across the five and 10 year cycle of capital investments and be instrumental in making a real difference in maintaining and developing Northern Territory infrastructure.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Project Manager who can engage with internal and external stakeholders for best value in design and implementation. You will be adept at juggling multiple projects and contracts for water supply and infrastructure with a clear focus on WHS, environmental and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in the development of programs of work and projects
  • Provide input and technical support services into the planning, design, construction, commissioning, acceptance into operational service, maintenance, and renewal of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Deliver allocated major projects by preparing detailed project management plans, monitor and report on progress against scope, milestones, budgets and cash flows
  • Assist in the administration of construction contracts
  • Develop tender specifications and documents,
  • Assess tenders and contracts in accordance with clients procurement rules,
  • Make recommendations and award contracts as appropriate
  • Conduct field visits to audit compliance with WHS requirements, environmental, quality and construction standards on allocated projects
To progress in the selection process, you must bring a minimum of 5 years' experience in the water infrastructure project field ($1m-$25m projects).

To be appointed you will posess a relevant Engineering, Scientific or Environmental Management degree recognised for Professional Membership with Engineers Australia.
