Great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who possesses broad experience across payroll processes and technologies (non-product specific yet Tier 1 Payroll/ERP solution experience preferred).

The successful applicant will offer an excellent understanding of how payroll solutions interact across various functions within a large/complex business and will have previously lead the planning and management of payroll implementations inclusive of the RFP process and final selection of an outsourced payroll solution partner.

Key skills, education, day to day activities and previous experience requirements include yet are not limited to:

  • 10+ years' IT experience which will include 4+ years Project Management experience delivering ERP/Payroll specific projects with size of projects around the $1 to 3 million mark
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage senior personal across a diverse range of stakeholder groups (M&A, Tax, Finance, Legal and HR)
  • Experience managing an RFP process, preferably in the selection of IT and Business Process Outsourcing partners, including issuing of requirements, managing vendor dialogue and performing assessments of vendor responsesE
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience across senior managers, sponsors and steering committees, including the ability to manage expectations and escalate appropriate items for key discussion and decision making
  • Strong skills in planning (feasibility studies) and management of projects to scope, schedule, budget and resources, including earned value measurement/s-curves
  • Experience in transitioning IT projects to an IT support organisation and the technical cut-over planning/execution of new solutions to production
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile delivery approaches
  • Strong vendor management skills, from aligning on scope of services to managing vendor delivery responsibilities
  • Experience in leading functional and technical IT teams, including internal IT and external technology service providers
  • Proven ability to lead under pressure, including maintaining focus on priority areas and giving clear directions to teams

Please note: The position is not suited to Project Managers who may be looking to break into the Payroll space or have limited payroll experience as the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a history of delivering payroll specific projects over a number of years.
