Role Responsibilities:
  • Comply with contractor management requirements
  • Actively participate in training provided and alert line manager of any training deficiency or training need.
  • Autonomously manage financial performance and budget, forecast, scheduling, change management, and governance of the project.
  • Autonomously management of Risk and Commercial project management.
  • As part of the design phase, develop procurement and engagement strategies utilizing standard and nonstandard models to ensure value-for-money outcomes.
  • Manage large, complex, high risk design assignments with multi-disciplinary or highly strategic service providers.
  • Develop and maintain project plans including integrated baseline schedule, budget and resourcing requirements.
  • Using a quantifiable risk-based analysis approach develop project specific resource plans that ensure project outcomes are delivered safely, cost effectively and to the required quality.
  • Capture, communicate and progressively apply learning from project evaluations ensuring success criteria and evaluation techniques are clear, concise, realistic and measurable.
  • Stakeholder identification, liaison and management

  • Ensure projects are transitioned through each project delivery phase smoothly by understanding and concisely communicating key success factors, project objectives and strategic outcomes for the business.
  • Strategic decisions regarding risk acceptance, risk treatment priorities and/or risk mitigation within approved constraints.
  • Develop, manage and periodically review project specific management plans that recognise varying degrees of risk appetite across varied, unpredictable and influential stakeholders.
  • Ensure early identification and management of key legal and industrial relations regulatory requirements with demonstrable knowledge of Victorian Industrial Relations environment
  • Management of the allocation of project responsibilities, people, accountabilities and milestones
  • Application of project management, change management and interpersonal skills to projects which are generally of strategic importance to the company and key stakeholders and have large numbers of/or complex engagement models for.
  • Significant knowledge and demonstrated expertise in design and construction and project management of large civil, multi-disciplinary projects; and multiple concurrent projects (or program) with substantial experience in effectively managing significant technical, environmental, social, reputational impacts and negotiating and resolving commercial, contractual, and industrial relations issues.
  • Demonstrated experience across the project lifecycle, covering initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
  • Demonstrated experience in the preparation and management of various contract delivery models including the management of multiple stakeholders in the complex contractual arrangements across both design and construction functions.

  • A sound appreciation of governance matters (engagement and approval processes), probity and confidentiality requirements.

  • Relevant Engineering Tertiary Degree
  • Competency-based project management certification with a relevant local or international professional organization such as AIPM, IPMA, GAPPS or equivalent
  • Post-graduate degree in business is desirable
  • Victorian Driver's License
