Our client, a highly reputable brand in the gold mining industry, is looking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer to join the existing high performing team. 


The role is offered on an initial 12 month contract, with potential to extend beyond. This role is also offered as a "work from home" position, with some site travel required.


The Role 


Reporting into the Engineering Manager Studies, you will support the Study Managers with a key focus on the feasibility of a crushing circuit upgrade, amongst other major projects. As part of the regional engineering team within major studies Directorate and under broad direction from the Engineering Manager, this position will regularly interface with a number of key stakeholder groups including project control, project execution, site based subject matter experts, commercial, process engineering team and  key members of the leadership team.



Qualifications and skills required:
 
  • University Degree in relevant field of Engineering or construction management with at least one of the majors in mechanical, material handling, structural, infrastructure engineering recognised by Engineers Australia for Chartered Engineers
  • Substantial Experience with engineering and construction with material handling plant comprising of crushers, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, chutes, compressors, screens, pumps will be welcomed.
  • Direct experience with energy generation units like solar, wind turbines, wind monitoring devices and power generation units will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing or working with EPC/EPCM/ECI consultants or contractors s will be well regarded.
  • Experience within OEM manufacturing material handling equipment, fixed plant repair and maintenance, maintenance strategies of power generation units, material handling OEM as a service or repair function will be well regarded
  • Demonstrated experience with Change management, project control, development of mechanical estimates of equipment and materials
  • Demonstrated experience in writing repair specifications high value equipment and ensuring appropriate Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) is applied by vendors.
  • Have an understanding and passion for engineering and asset management principles and demonstrated experience in implementing long term asset management plans and strategies.
  • Knowledge of applicable statutory regulations and standards prevailing in NT and WA.
