The Opportunity
Chandler Macleod is looking to engage a Senior Project Coordinator for a contract term of 6months with a well-established NSW Government department. This role will be based in Parramatta.

Pay rate: $800 per day+ super

Location: Flexible - combination of WFH and Parramatta Office or flexibility to work anywhere in NSW by negotiation.

Duration: 6 months possibility of extension

This is an excellent opportunity for a project professional to join a highly regarded team and contribute to better outcomes for Aboriginal people and lead key projects focussed on the Aboriginal Community Housing Sector. Main Duties include:

  • Managing and/or assisting Project Lead/s to support the SI&D team with project delivery
  • Intensive support over the next six months to ensure critical AHO initiatives continue to be delivered.
  • Project planning, coordination, and control.
  • Change and communications management support
  • Preparation of all associated documentation (including legal agreements)
  • Deliver on multifaceted projects and processes within agreed upon deadlines and quality standards.

About You:

  • Has extensive experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
  • Required to provide proactive and evidence-based advice and reports to the project lead/s, and Managers to ensure matters that impact the business unit current business and future decision-making are considered.
  • Should have strong project coordination experience with the ability to lead, understand and apply effective project planning, coordination, and control methods.
  • Understanding and experience in stakeholder engagement and change management practice.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines where there are conflicting priorities.
  • Possess solid attention to detail, and administration skills to maintain project related reports, registers, and other data.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate with others and work together to solve issues and develop better processes and approaches to work.

The Skills and Experience:

  • Qualifications in project management will be highly regarded.
  • Solid experience in developing and delivering projects.
  • Experience working with complex data sets, not essential but highly regarded.
  • Ability to provide advice and support to project team members on undertaking tasks and implementing projects as required to support and facilitate effective project management and implementation.
  • Maintain oversight of project progress and ensuring issues/risks are brought to the attention of the business unit manager and stakeholders.
