Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Senior Program Coordinator on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Senior Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the program governance and will have two direct reports. The position will coordinate with the Program and Project Managers to prepare and maintain documentation and reports to ensure timely delivery of numerous concurrent projects.

The role will be:

  • Developing and documenting processes and supporting documentation for enhanced
  • business processes/outcomes
  • ensuring consistent and quality standards are maintained
  • providing guidance and support for internal and external stakeholders on business
  • requirements and processes,
  • identifying and escalating issues and risks to other subject matter experts for resolution.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of project communications, reports and papers to the executive and governance committees.
  • Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of the program's assets, stakeholders, dependencies.
  • Coordination and resolution of issues identified by stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement quality management processes related to program governance and business practices.
  • Prepare and maintain various program artefacts including such as project plans, schedules, risk registers, business requirements, business process specifications, technical specifications.
  • Plan and coordinate taskforce related activities as directed.
  • Under the program and projects manager's broad direction, work with and coordinate business subject matter experts to develop solutions to improve business process orresolve technical issues.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training, guidance material, web content for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the development of instructional materials and procedures for business processes and IT systems as a result of project initiatives.
  • Manage the activities and performance of the Project Coordinators.
  • General administrative duties, as required.
  • Commit to the agency Code of Conduct and Values.
