Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS6 Senior Procurement Officer on a contract until September 2021 with an Extension till October 2022.

Conduct and coordination of compliant, transparent and ethical approaches to market (ATMs), particularly for temporary labour hire procurements in consultation with and on behalf of business areas within HPRG
Preparation and drafting of a broad range of routine and complex procurement documentation (including requests for quotation, financial submissions, procurement risk assessments, commitment approval and purchase order creation in Department of Health financial systems) and other required/related information; and
Provision of financial support services including:

  • Accounts payable assistance (invoice processing and
  • Reconciliations, goods receipting, etc.);
  • Staff expenses support (reimbursement assistance);
  • Preparation and collation of financial reports, (e.g.) monthly accrual packs for Department Finance Business Partners; and
    As required, responding to one-off or short-term requests for (administrative and related support) services

    Mandatory requirements:
    Candidates must be able to demonstrate
    Demonstrated experience in and understanding of the Government financial (including procurement) framework (including a working knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and related Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs));
    Demonstrated experience in providing high quality administrative support services across a range of business areas within an organisation (includes high level interpersonal and liaison skills);
    The ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships, all the while articulating and supporting the functional objectives and operational priorities of and for the divisions of HPRG;
    High level written and oral communication skills, with strong emphasis on process recording and attention to details; and
    The ability to effectively manage competing priorities within designated timeframes.
