Our client, one of Australia's leading resources companies, is seeking to engage a FIFO Senior Process Engineer - OFP (Ore Processing Facility), as part of the Engineering & Reliability Division to be based on-site in the Pilbara region of WA. Reporting to the OPF Process Superintendent, the focus of this role will be to provide technical guidance to the OPF team via qualitative and quantitative analysis of Fixed Plant performance, especially product quality aspects, whilst adhering to all company HSEC standards and all statutory obligations.

Key accountabilities will include but be limited to:

  • Business Processes (Supply, Production, Maintenance, Cost Management)
  • Growth (Continuous Improvement, Project Delivery)
  • Costs: Assist in the development of budgets and production plans in line with the mine site business model and assist tracking performance to develop strategies ensuring forecasts are met
  • Quality and Customer (Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Risk Management, Relationship Management)
  • People (Resourcing, Engagement, Development, Mentoring)
  • Zero Harm (Safety, Health, Environment, Heritage, Community) - provide visible safety leadership (Ambassador to Safety), modeling positive safety behaviours, oversee metallurgical aspects of lab production and procedures, and conduct daily inspections to ensure safe and accurate work

Skills & Qualifications?

  • Degree qualifications in Engineering; chemical, process or metallurgical engineering or a related discipline or diploma
  • 7+ years mineral processing industry experience - operational / technical
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with 5 or more direct reports
  • 2+ years' experience in a consultancy/EPCM house
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office in particular Excel
  • SAP and delay accounting systems
  • Problem solving in a dynamic work environment
